  • 1960 Jon starts Auto Tours UK
  • 1965 Opened SA office for Auto Tours
  • 1967 Jon started Sun Safaris / overland safari operator
  • 1971 Jon bought Safari Tours in Rhodesia
  • 1972 renamed the company Gametrackers
  • 1974 opened Gametrackers in Victoria Falls and Johannesburg
    • Established the first permanent camp in Botswana’s Savuti region of the Chobe
    • Established Safariplan as Gametrackers marketing arm
    • Established Tanda Tula in the Timbavati Nature Reserve
    • Granted sole rights to operate into the Pilanesberg National Park
  • 1975-82 introduced scheduled flights into the region and established more permanent camps in the Chobe and Moremi reserves in Botswana (6 lodges)
  • 1982 established the Khoka Moya and Honeyguide lodges in the Manyeleti Game Reserves.
  • 1991 Sold Gametrackers to Orient Express to focus on Safariplan
  • 1991 Steve and Rob establish Predator Leisure Company under the guidance of Jon. Predator Leisure Company was at this time an overland safari operator into Southern Africa
  • 1996 Rob starts managing commercial and corporate lodges in the Timbavati Nature Reserve.
  • 2000 Jon sells Safariplan to Tourvest
  • 2003 Jon and Lee establish Jon Panos Tours specialising in tailor made tours and safaris throughout Southern and East Africa
  • 2005  Pan Design started in 2005 by Michelle and Yvette Panos
  • 2006 Predator Leisure Company secures the Limpopo-Lipadi opportunity (Management contract to run the 33,000 hectare reserve as well as 3 commercial lodges on the property.
  • 2007 Predator Leisure Company secures Intsomi Forest Lodge management contract
